The Red Truck is the subject of a myth in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto V. The Red Truck has been associated with the Epsilon Cult, and it has been the subject of many investigations within the Grand Theft Auto community.

GTA San Andreas

In GTA San Andreas, the Red Truck is mentioned on the Epsilon Cult's official website, under the section which explains how to join the cult. The text goes as follows:

"Travel through the dawn to the pass pictured in our brochures. Look for a red truck with a dent on the right fender. Raise your left hand and recite the words: "Take me to to my father-father, brother-uncle. Kifflom." We'll do the rest. Because we all know, there is Kifflom and there is Krant, and both be praised. Blindfold required."

Since the game's release, it has been widely speculated that the Red Truck mentioned in this brief passage is the Beater Sadler, which spawns in various places around San Andreas. Like the Beater Glendale, this variant of the Sadler spawns with dented body panels, bumpers and doors which cannot be repaired by visiting a Pay 'n' Spray. In truck's bed, there is green substance. This may be related to Green Goo.

In a pre-release screenshot of the game, a red Walton is shown driving across the Sherman Dam during sunset. Players speculated that this screenshot had some correlation between the Red Truck myth, but up to now, no other evidence to support these claims has been found.

The directions say that the truck must have a dent in its right fender. However, in GTA San Andreas, vehicles do not get damaged in their quarter panels (fenders), making this part of the myth unlikely. Here's one of the dented trucks, a Sadler, that is placed around in San Andreas. Just like with all the other ones, nothing happens around it, and nothing special happens when you get inside it - it's just another car. Both the Sadler and the Glendale have two skins, one ordinary skin, and one beaten-up skin. If you drive one of the beaten-up cars to a repair shop, it is reset to it's original skin, a beaten-up car, just like you first found it.

As there hasn't been found any red truck - or other kind of car - that seems to be any different from the other cars, there has been found a sign that might be a hint. In Red County, you'll find a large sign post saying "Truck Terminal Red County", with the word "Truck" and "Red" on top of each other on the left side. If there is any special place you could expect to find the special red truck mentioned on epsilonpogram.com, it might be here.

Grand Theft Auto V

The Red Truck myth returns in Grand Theft Auto V. Since the Epsilon Program uses the same website from GTA San Andreas, the instructions to join the cult remain the same.

The Red Truck appears in the mission Seeking The Truth, in which Michael must travel to Raton Canyon and find a red truck. Once he arrives, he sees the truck, which is a red Bison. He then takes out the brochure and recites the phrase, when suddenly two members of the cult emerge from behind some bushes and promptly knock Michael out.

The red truck is never seen nor referenced after this mission, and this is the only instance in the whole game where the cult uses a red vehicle. All the other vehicles that the Epsilon Cult uses are a unique shade of light blue.
