They came to me last week. There was a brilliant joy, and a terrible confusion, and they were laughing and screaming and crying all at once, and some said,"Omega, we come in peace!" and others said, "We have come to enslave you! We are an infinitely intelligent race of super cosmic beings, and out of the six billion people on this planet we have chosen you for no good reason." And just then they were about to abduct me and do experiments on me, when their ship crashed.

–Omega, describing his Extraterrestrial encounter to Franklin.

Omega is a minor character who appears in Grand Theft Auto V. Omega is an eccentric hippie, who believes in extraterrestrial life, and claims that he was visited by Aliens. He bears a deep distrust towards the government, and is a conspiracy theorist.

Description[]

Omega recruits Franklin to find the 50 Spaceship Parts, which are scattered around San Andreas. He is very similar to GTA San AndreasThe Truth, who is also a hippie that is obsessed with Aliens and UFOs. He might have participated in the Vietnam War, as he is seen wearing dog tags in the mission Far Out. His shirt bears the emblem of the All Seeing Eye, which could be a possible nod to the Illuminati, or to Freemasonry. He is also similar to Harold Oxley from the movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, as both of them have long hair and are obsessed with aliens. However, this may just be a coincidence.

Name origins[]

Omega is named after a letter in the Greek alphabet, Omega (Ω.) The Omega is the last letter in the Greek alphabet, and is commonly used to denote the end or the limit of a set. It can also be used theologically to describe the end of the world, or the ultimate destiny of humanity.

Equipment[]

Omega uses a scanner that is very similar to the one used by the Epsilon Program. Other than this one, there are no other clues in the game to support Omega's affiliation with the program whatsoever. The scanner is likely used to detect extraterrestrial beings.
