Alright, go ahead and give it a try. If you make a good one, we'll definitely look into making it the new theme. Just make sure the background is a neutral color, otherwise we won't be able to see the text on the pages.
Alright here's probably the finished versions. You can put these up for a vote. I decided to include a version without the text because I thought it might look better without text. Also, I found the GTA font so I can update the wiki logo while I'm at it lol I can add the shading effects that they use on the current Grand Theft Auto logo.
Those look really good! I'll put the textless one up for vote, since I think that one would be best for the site's background. The one with text would kind of stand out abruptly against the text on the wiki's pages.
Alright cool :) As for a random note, that UFO. That's how you make a doctored photo look convincing lol UFOs don't spawn in the forest. The UFO has its own light settings so it can look like it blends with the rainy weather.
As for the Sasquatch image: the iconic Patterson-Gimlin film shot just seems more fitting and universal than trying to find a clear and convincing image of a Bigfoot mod or the fake Bigfoot from The Last One
Yeah, the Sasquatch image was a nice touch. Those were really good photoshops by the way! The pics are up for voting, and everyone likes the one without text best, so it looks like that one could be our next theme.
But it's just the same layout I created but with cluttered images that weren't wanted before and the Bigfoot mod that we just said we were against :/ The one I used was the actual 1967 photo that your mod version was based on. (basically the complete opposite of my image but with the same layout)
Well I mean I submitted my design for use. Also, you just need to drop the clutter of images. It doesn't need to have everything in it. It has to flow. The most I could say is tone it down because there's too much stuff.
There's been new pages popping up left and right claiming that their myth's have been around since the 'early days'. Just wanted to let you know so that these rampant new pages with silly doctored images don't overpopulate the wiki. I just shot down the Swamp Monster myth because the guy used the image of The Rake thinking no one would have heard of it. lol
Alright. Yeah we have been getting a couple of rather obscure pages with not too much info backing them up. But we can't shoot all of those pages down, because we have to remember that this wiki is based largely on fan rumors and speculation, and the whole point of myths is that their existence is always disputed and debated. There was a pretty big community discussion that went down a few weeks ago about this, and the discussion got kind of out of hand, so this is a pretty complex and touchy subject lol. Thanks for the notice though.
Don't sweat it, it happens to the best of us. School is sometimes a pain in the ass anyway. I'm going into my senior year of high school next year and I know how much midterm and finals can stress a person out, especially in 11th grade which is arguably the most difficult grade. But I can't imagine how college must be like
Yeah I'm going into my senior year of college. If you need a guy just for verifying if myth images are not doctored, I'm your guy. I'm a studio art major. I've taken at least two to three years of photoshop lol
Also, I think maybe there should be a guideline for pictures. Using mods to change your skin in-game for any version of the game should nullify the plausibility of the image. If a person is clearly using a mod to add skins or unlimited ammo, then the picture should receive some treatment. Maybe a disclaimer saying that the image is doctored or uses mods.
I usually use either Fraps or Bandicam for PC gameplay recording. Fraps isn;t that expensive and it is probably the best for PC recording. For console gameplay recording, there are many capture cards you can buy, like Blackmagic or Elgato capture cards but they are pretty expensive.
Actually strangely he's not. He's public domain because Slenderman grew into more of an entity with different stories tied to him. Characters that are actual video game characters fall under copyrights. All of the myths with video game characters not owned by Rockstar can actually be marked as False because the existence of the characters would also have to be confirmed by the franchise owners. Had any of those sightings been real, there would have been articles or lawsuits about them long ago. The only easter egg that can be confirmed is Zombotech because it's not explicitly called Umbrella Corporation (which is owned by Capcom).
Hmmm, I never knew that. I always thought Slenderman was copyrighted but I guess not. As for the Zombotech Corporation, that's definitely not copyrighted, since it's just a parody of the Umbrella corporation from Resident Evil, like you said.
Yeah but characters that are explicitly referred by their names like Nemesis and such are definitely copyrighted and can pretty much be ruled as False myths. But anywho, right now I'm just sort of wondering what the "new wildlife" is that's going to be added to the game in the re-release. And I'm hoping that Rockstar doesn't pull an EA and make the update a 'next-gen' exclusive for a game that's last gen.
Yeah, that would really suck. I still have the PS3 and I have no intention of buying a PS4 just for one game! About the wildlife, I'd definitely like to see bears and wolves, etc, things you'd expect to see in the California countryside. But there haven't been many new rumors about the new stuff that they will add to the re-release, because as we all know, Rockstar is pretty tight-lipped about upcoming games and updates.
Hello I am an Italian user who likes this wiki, I put this photo I think it's a UFO, some say they are planes, but zooming looks like a real UFO, so I would know if it is a UFO or a simple plane. Sorry for the stupid question.
If the photo is from GTA San Andreas, then that's one of those lights that you can see flying around in the sky all the time. Those lights are meant to represent airplanes, but if you get really close to them, they are just little glowing balls of light.
So, to answer your question, it's an airplane. You can check out this page if you want to know more about UFOs in San Andreas.
