The Haunted Lighthouse, known in-game as Portland Rock, is a mythical location in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
Description[]
The Haunted Lighthouse is an outdated myth that started in the GTA LCS forums. It is a lighthouse located on the island of Portland Rock off the coast of Portland Beach. There is a story that a worker, who was working there, fell from the top while cleaning it, dying upon impact with the ground. It is believed that since then, his ghost haunts the lighthouse.
Another rumor says that after Massimo Torini's death caused by Toni Cipriani, his ghost is haunting the lighthouse.
However, both myths are left as unlikely, because there isn't enough evidence to support them. And while the lighthouse is accessible in GTA LCS by the small dock located at the bottom of Portland Rock, it is impossible to access in GTA 3 due to the dock seemingly being destroyed. In addition, if the player tries to land on Portland Rock in anyway, they will simply slide off the island and into the water. The only way to stay on the island is by a glitch in the PC version of the game which requires the player to sail to the island and then jump backwards once they reach it.
