Escobar International Airport is a lesser-known myth location in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. The airport is a reference to the real life cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar.
It is located on the eastern side of the map. It mainly serves as the local and only airport to Vice City and is likely based on the Opa-Locka Executive Airport in Miami. The main terminal building at Escobar International looks like the TWA Flight Center, Terminal 5, designed by Eero Saarinen, at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City.
