Eglise Baptiste De La Regeneration is a church and an Easter egg in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Description

Eglise Baptiste De La Regeneration is located in the neighborhood of Little Haiti, near the Stygian Houses. The church is based on the real life church of the same name in Miami. It was built in the 1980s, the same era, in which GTA Vice City takes place. Because of the name, the denomination of the church is most likely a form of Baptism, and because Vice City is based on Florida, most likely Southern Baptism.

The church is frequented by Christians in Little Haiti. It is also mentioned in the book, Salvation Goods and Religious Markets: Theory and Applications by Jurg Stolz, and Crossing the Water and Keeping the Faith: Haitian Religion in Miami by Terry Rey and Alex Stepick.

The name of the church translates to The Baptist Church of Regeneration, surprisingly French in origin, for the reason it's bizarrely related to the existence of Giant Spiders. This is likely due to the fact that most Haitians in Vice City tend to speak some French words, with, sometimes, the Haitian Creole accent.
