The Chupacabra is a false myth in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and a legendary cryptid, rumored to inhabit parts of San Andreas in GTA San Andreas. It is known to attack the player, and its name Chupacabra translates to Goat Sucker in Spanish, meaning it could also kill other wildlife.

Description

The appearance of the Chupacabra varies from reports, but it is mostly a description based on the player's nationality. Spanish and Puerto Rican users report it to be a tall creature, with spikes on its back and fangs, resembling Bigfoot, as it is the same as the Puerto Rican legend.

American users have reported it to be a large dog, which lacks hair and is usually grey. This is the more likely look, as such a creature has been reported in California, Nevada, and Texas, which is where San Andreas is based on. The myth is questionable because there are no goats or other livestock in GTA San Andreas, so the Chupacabra's presence in the game is false.

Red Dead Redemption

The Chupacabra is present in the video game Red Dead Redemption, another game made by Rockstar. The Chupacabra in Red Dead Redemption resembles a cross between a hyena and a boar, and it has grey fur and a row of quills along its spine.
