The Chupacabra is a false myth in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and a legendary cryptic, rumored to inhabit parts of San Andreas in GTA SA, and Grand Theft Auto V. It's also mentioned in Grand Theft Auto IV. It is known to attack the player, and its name Chupacabra translates to Goat Sucker in Spanish, meaning it could also kill other wildlife.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
The appearance of the Chupacabra varies from reports, but it is mostly a description based on the player's nationality. Spanish and Puerto Rican users report it to be a tall creature, with spikes on its back and fangs, resembling Bigfoot, as it is the same as the Puerto Rican legend. American users have reported it to be a large dog, which lacks hair, and is usually grey. This is the more likely look, as such a creature has been reported in California, Nevada, and Texas, which is where San Andreas is based on. The myth is questionable, because there are no goats or other livestock in GTA San Andreas, so the Chupacabra's presence in the game is false.
The Chupacabra is present in the video game Red Dead Redemption, another game made by Rockstar. The Chupacabra in Red Dead Redemption resembles a cross between a hyena and a boar, and it has grey fur, and a row of quills along its spine.

Strange comments. by user named Chupacabra, are left at Liesdamnlies.net, with Liberty City as his location. Reported comments are:
- Anyone got any tips for getting virgins' blood out of velour curtains?
- Why are the homeless people always watching me? I have a theory that they are actually cyborgs created by the government to police the city. Whenever I stumble out a massage parlor or emerge blinking into the midday sun from a crack den, I spot a wino out of the corner of my eye seemingly tracking my every move.
- Are you trying to be funny, Greg? You're messing with the man on the edge. I'll gut you and your family.
- I'm sacrificing my niece next week. If anyone's interested. Seriously, she's into it. Virgins welcome. Bring some snacks and condiments.
